After all of the population numbers were counted in 2020, Frisco, TX earned the prestigious title of “Fastest Growing City in the Nation.” From 2010, when the population was 117,000, to the census count of 2020, when the population was determined to be just over 200,000, the city had grown by 71%, more than any other city of more than 50,000 people in the US.
So why do we share all of these numbers? Why do they matter?
Because, surprisingly enough, most residents find their way to Frisco and are excited to settle down here. There’s something about the unparalleled growth that has combined with this city’s not-so-distant small-town roots; it’s easy to feel at home here. In fact, Money magazine has named Frisco one of the best places to live for a few years now! The city is creating a name for itself among sports fans, young families, passionate professionals, Fortune 500 companies, and even those looking to retire (being near a top-ranked international airport and the new PGA world headquarters doesn’t hurt!).
In the heart of it all, a small community of 275 homes awaits you. The Lakes on Legacy Drive is less than five minutes from some of North Texas’s best developments. We’ll elaborate more on that later, because who doesn’t love fine dining, unique shopping, premier sporting venues, and one-of-a-kind experiences?!
Before we introduce you to a few of our favorite things about Frisco and this area, let’s take a tour of 4123 Sardinia Way. When you pull into the driveway of the home, you can enter through the 2-car attached garage or through the beautiful iron front door just under the covered front porch. In the foyer, you find a staircase with iron accents, a small seating area, the first bedroom (perfect for an office or for guests), and a full bath. Rich wood tile floors flow throughout, and they pair nicely with recently updated carpet for the bedrooms and the gorgeous ceramic tile in all of the baths.
To the left of the foyer, you enter an open-concept living area. The dining room, breakfast nook, and updated kitchen are positioned so there’s plenty of room to cook, relax, and enjoy family and friends. The large quartz-topped island also offers space to eat or serve and the walk-in pantry will let you stay stocked up for your next soiree.
The living room brings a lot to this shared space. Upon entering, one might think, “How can something be so cozy and still so clean?” All of the updates to the living and dining areas have only added to the warmth and the charm! The gas-log fireplace in the living room is flanked by two recessed areas, perfect for custom storage or to showcase collections and art.
The only space on the first floor we haven’t explored yet is the Owner’s Retreat. The primary bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a lot of natural light. The ensuite bath features a custom shower, soaking tub, dual sinks, new flooring, and recently updated fixtures. In one of the recent remodels, the walk-in closet was transformed by California Closet, creating a truly unique space that has brought lots of storage without sacrificing style!
On the second floor, we find two bedrooms that share a full bath plus a large game room that can easily welcome lots of family time. It’s the perfect spot for gaming, reading, lounging, watching movies, and even entertaining. In fact, that flexible/bonus space is over 350 square feet so just imagine all of the possibilities!
If the outdoors is more your style, then this home has so much to offer! The back patio has plenty of room to sit and relax in a bit of nature; there’s so much greenery to enjoy! The backyard, lined by a wrought iron fence, backs up to a neighborhood walking/jogging path. Close by, you’ll also find a private fishing pond and playground. If you like to be active, your HOA dues include a membership to The Lakes of Tennis Academy (which includes tennis courts, players lounge, pro-shop/boutique, community pool, and fitness center). Those dues also provide for the 24-hour gated entrance and all front yard maintenance.
This home can easily be the getaway or the escape that you need when the growing city gets to be too much. The Lakes on Legacy Drive is a unique spot, a quiet oasis that’s still unbelievably close to all of Frisco’s conveniences. When ready to enjoy all that the city has to offer, might we suggest just a few of the following spots:
- Stonebriar Country Club: Features two 18-hole championship golf courses, a spectacular clubhouse, and family-friendly programming. With extraordinary benefits for memberships of all categories, it's easy to see why Avid Golfer consistently ranks Stonebriar Country Club among Dallas-Fort Worth's most elite private clubs. If you’d like to know more about all the DFW golfing scene, be sure to download our EXCLUSIVE PDF - DFW Guide to Golf Courses.
- The Star: More than the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys, The Star is the perfect place to shop, dine, and experience the Dallas Cowboys-themed campus. Our listing agent, Arian Orlando, said that she loves to visit Lombardi’s because it has brought such a modern twist to so many Italian favorites (and a vast selection of wine from all over the world). If you’re looking for shopping, we know every Texan needs a great pair of boots and Lucchese at The Star would be one of our first stops!
- Legacy West: Just across 121 into Plano, this destination invites you to shop all your favorite brands and dine at over 20 delicious restaurants and eateries! We highly recommend happy hour at Tommy Bahama (maybe a Pineapple Paradisio or a Bahia Sangria) followed by a casual dinner at Earl’s Kitchen + Bar (maybe the sea bass, crab cakes and truffle fries). Their curated shopping locations can also keep us busy for days! From J. Crew and Levi’s to Frontgate and Neighborhood Goods, you’re sure to find something you and your home cannot live without.
- Grandscape: Hoping to provide guests one location for a variety of experiences, Grandscape is presenting a shopping and dining area unlike anything else in DFW. For great live music, look no further than their plaza (behind the largest Scheel’s store in the US) or find some amazing tribute bands and a few actual headliners on the main stage of Lava Cantina. If excitement is more your speed, be sure to visit Andretti Indoor Carting (yep, indoor go-carts that let you drive up to 35mph!). Grandscape also has the only local ferris wheel that’s open year-round. Just a few other notable mentions include Puttery and Truck Yard. This area is still growing and they are getting ready to welcome several more stores and restaurants in 2022.
If you can imagine calling this great home your own, we’d love to offer a personal tour. We here at the Jackie Dorbritz Group and Dallas Golf Homes understand and appreciate how complicated and overwhelming the home buying or selling process can be and our entire team has been privileged to help hundreds of clients navigate this process. But we also believe that there’s nothing like coming home and that all the effort always pays off! Helping you find a place to call home - one that speaks to your likes and lifestyle - is a priority for us. Let us help you have a seamless and successful experience!
