It’s not often that you enter a space and are both breathless and speechless at the same time, but that’s the reaction almost every guest has once they enter Unit 701 of the Plaza I at Turtle Creek. This corner Penthouse in one of the most coveted buildings in Uptown is taking luxury to a new level.

In 2018, when the entire space was renovated and designed by Dallas Design Group, great care was given to every single detail. On the first floor, much of the renovation focused on highlighting the floor-to-ceiling windows that span the living and dining spaces. The view of Uptown Dallas and the natural beauty only found in the Turtle Creek area is unparalleled - and it’s even better from the oversized balcony. In the grand living room, a two-story, gas-log fireplace was added; it’s both inviting and impressive.

The true chef’s kitchen is full of superior appliances (including a built-in refrigerator and two dishwashers) and a wet bar with refrigeration. It also boasts gorgeous marble countertops, custom lighting, plus tons of cabinetry for storage. Next to the kitchen, you find a large utility room with butler’s pantry and a second office. A gorgeous powder bath and staircase ensure the space is an entertaining destination!

The primary bed and bath form a relaxing Owner’s retreat. It is serene, almost spa-like. The bath features dual sinks, separate vanities, a walk-in closet, a jetted tub, and a spacious double shower. While the spaces flow nicely, it is the details, down to the shower’s inlaid tile and all of the finest finishings, that truly make this design dazzle.

Let’s travel to the second floor of this unit, to the eighth floor of the building overall. At the top of the stairs, there is a cedar coat closet on the right and a door on the left that lets you access one of your storage units (there is another dedicated and climate-controlled storage on HC). One important tidbit for you: this unit could install a private elevator if one ever wanted/needed to gain privacy and direct access.

The second bedroom with a full ensuite bath is secluded on the right side of the second floor. You must cross over a balcony (the full length of the grand living space below) to find your media room, a third bedroom, an office, and another full bath. This interior balcony overlooks the impressive first floor and provides some incredible sweeping views of the city. The media room has a full bar with sink and refrigeration, and the office on this floor has built-ins and yet another gorgeous view from a whole wall of windows. When you need additional space for your hobbies, personal fitness, or even more friends, consider this third bedroom.

While within this space, there is much to love and much to admire, there are several other incredible perks that come with living in Plaza I at Turtle Creek, starting with their security services and valet, although residents will also have three assigned parking spots. Next on the list is the 24-hour concierge services that are available and the state-of-the-art pool fitness studio.

If you’re interested in entertaining more people than can fit in your glamorous space, residents have access to the Conservatory, a space just perfect for gathering even more friends and family or hosting a small event for your favorite cause. As a resident, you will also receive a Mansion Club membership, with discounted access to Mansion restaurants and suites.

As we mentioned before, this penthouse combines everything we love about luxury living with the uniquely urban style that only Dallas can offer. The area is much like an oasis because the surroundings make the area highly walkable. Not far from some of the best restaurants and shopping around, it’s also easy to join up with the Katy Trail to explore much more of our great outdoors. To the south, you’ll find Reverchon Park, a 46-acre park along Turtle Creek that sports a playground, pavilion, and facilities for basketball, sand volleyball, and tennis (just to name a few). To the north, Turtle Creek Park (supported by the Turtle Creek Conservancy) has been a natural oasis for Dallas residents and visitors since 1903. It’s easy to sense the peace one can find in these twenty acres of natural beauty in the heart of the city.

It may be surprising, but not far away, in the cozy community of Highland Park (between Mockingbird Lane and Beverly Drive), is another wonderful place to meet neighbors and enjoy a little taste of luxury. Dallas Country Club, founded in 1896, spans more than 100 acres and offers magnificent views of Turtle Creek and the historic skyline of downtown Dallas.
