The Pollard Branch Tract (#03019-03911) is a 423.8-acre (per GIS Estimate) tract of timberland located in Vernon Parish on the southern edge of Pitkin, LA (North 30.9154°, West 92.90969°). The vast majority of the property features merchantable hardwood in the bottomland areas. Just under 20 acres in the southwest corner were planted in 2010 with loblolly pine and have yet to be first-thinned; another forty acres on the north side were planted in 2021. An old railroad tram runs along the northern side of the property creating a wildlife and access corridor. Multiple creek systems flow through the property including Six Mile Creek, Pollard Branch and Blue Branch creating unique wildlife habitat. Access is available with Dido Loop Road cutting across the southwestern corner (where some utilities can be found to allow for camp-home site potential within Vernon Parish School District) and from the end of Larry Cook Road on the north side.
